Why these sites
Each link connects to a part of Phil's own story. Origin and its staff in Seattle put out all three of his albums as leader; Jay Thomas played on each of them, and his trumpet tribute to Conte Candoli on "Bella Luce" is one of the moments critics mention most. JazzCorner hosted this site for years, and All About Jazz published reviews of both Convergence Zone and My Museum, which you can read in full alongside the others on the collected album reviews page.
If you came here looking for the charts themselves, eJazzLines is the place to order them, and the print music guide covers instrumentation and which tunes are available.
